Colin Baillio is the Director of Policy and Communications at Health Action New Mexico. He focuses on advocacy and research on Medicaid, the health insurance marketplace, prescription drug prices, dental care, and a number of other policy areas. In 2013 he served as a Fred Harris Congressional Intern and temporary Legislative Correspondent in the Office of US Senator Martin Heinrich (NM) in Washington D.C. There, he focused on issues related to the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, reproductive rights, and education. He received his B.A. from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of New Mexico. His goal is to help shape a health system that serves all New Mexicans with integrity.
