SABEW2019 has ended
Journalism in a Time of Disruption
SABEW’s 56th annual Spring conference will explore the many challenges – and opportunities – our industry faces today. Through skills session, keynotes and networking, we’ll help reporters and news managers do their jobs better and make sense of what’s happening in our industry. We look forward to seeing you at ASU’s casual campus setting in sunny Phoenix where you’ll get a chance to connect with colleagues old and new and ensure that business journalism continues to thrive.

Maurice Tamman

Maurice Tamman works on the enterprise journalism team at Reuters, focusing on long-term investigations. Most recently, he was the lead reporter on a examination into how warming of the oceans is disrupting fisheries – and those who depend on them – the world over. Previously at Reuters, he created and ran the Reuters data journalism team as well as Reuters polling. The team’s recent work includes projects documenting the global impact of sea-level rises, as well as how the U.S. Supreme Court has become dominated by a small cadre of lawyers and their corporate clients. Before that, he was a data reporter and editor at The Wall Street Journal and online editor and investigative reporter with the Sarasota Herald Tribune.
